Some More Scholarships

Here are two more scholarships I have become aware of. The first from First Federal Bank was won last year by a Talent Search graduate from Valley Springs. Applications for it may be picked up at any First Federal Location. It’s $1,000 and the deadline is March 16. The second is from AASFAA and is for $500. The deadline for it is April 8. Want To Win An iPod Nano?

There is a contest going on where students can win an iPod. All you have to do is make a video explaining or showing why you want to go to college. The official rules are here. If any of my ETS students enter the contest, they are guaranteed a prize from me, regardless of whether or not they win. There's nothing to lose and lots of fun to be had, so go make a video!

I hope all are safe and sound and with electricity. Just got ours back last evening. I know that most of you missed about a week of school. It was interesting, but now it’s time to get back on the tracks and think about school again (and all that goes along with it). The next ACT test is on April 4 and the registration deadline is February 27. Make sure you see your ETS counselor or guidance counselor for a waiver if you need one.
